Any ad that supports, opposes, advocates for, or attacks a candidate for public office, a ballot measure, an initiative, a recall, a referendum, or a political party.
Issue ads tied to a ballot measure count as political and are priced by the level of government deciding the measure. Pure cause or awareness ads not tied to a measure ("support local food banks") are commercial.
An endorsement from a commercial business that names a candidate is political ("John's Plumbing endorses Jane Smith for Sheriff").

Federal and Missouri law require political ads to identify who paid for them. The "Paid for by [committee name]" disclosure must be visible in your 300×250 image. Ads without proper disclosure will be rejected at review and refunded.
All political ads are reviewed by the publisher before they go live. We aim to approve or reject within one business day of upload. We reserve the right to decline any political ad we find indecent, deceptive, or harmful, regardless of the candidate or position. Rejected ads are refunded in full.
Don't have a 300 × 250 ad? A basic ad can be created for you for a one-time $25 design fee. Mention it in your order and we'll follow up.
These publications serve Macon County and northeast Missouri. The local and regional rates exist to support businesses that are genuinely part of this region — owned here, operating here, employing people here.
When you purchase a commercial ad, you'll be asked to confirm your business classification by county. If you misrepresent your business location to obtain a lower rate, your ad will be removed immediately without refund. No exceptions. No appeals.
Political ads run at posted rates with no discounts. All political ads are reviewed before publication. We reserve the right to decline any ad we find indecent, deceptive, or harmful, and we apply that standard equally regardless of the candidate, party, or position being advocated.
We do not accept advertising for products or services we consider harmful to the local community. We reserve the right to decline or remove any ad at our discretion. If we decline your ad, you'll receive a full refund.
Advertising does not influence editorial coverage. Advertisers do not receive favorable treatment in our reporting. They do not receive advance notice of stories about their business or their campaign.
This is a small, independent network. We intend to keep it that way.
